Skånegatan 70

During Stockholm Design Week 2015 Skånegatan 70 - a shared showroom, office space and home to Makeda´s rugs, is transformed into an exhibition space.
Makeda´s collection Odysée, designed by Anna Forsberg, is exhibited together with furniture and lighting from Danish designer Øivind Slaatto.

The work of both designers is informed by the close study of nature and technology. Rugs and furniture are produced using hand crafted, traditional methods and materials, whilst Øivinds Giant Diamond lamp uses cutting edge digital technology, which allows for unforeseen levels of customization.

There are echoes from nature in both Anna's and Øivind's work, in the choices of materials and the resultant contrasts of texture and relief, as well as their shared affinity for rhythmical patterns and geometrical shapes.
